Exhibitor guide
Leads & Follow-Up
Keep the information needed to follow up after the show and evaluate what worked for your organization.
From conversation to follow-up
Keep the information that makes a contact useful
Capture Context, Not Just a Name
With the visitor’s permission, record contact information along with interests, timing, questions, and an agreed next step. Use your own form, app, QR workflow, paper method, or another suitable approach.
Keep a Backup
If your plan depends on a device, application, network connection, or online form, prepare a simple alternate method.
Use Appointments When Helpful
Prearranged meetings or scheduled demonstrations can help visitors find your team and give complex conversations enough time.
Follow Up Promptly
Assign responsibility for each promised next step, then send a relevant recap and the promised information while the conversation remains familiar, ideally within a few days. Avoid replacing a personal next step with a generic mass message.
Review Results
Compare the outcome with the measures you selected. Leads, meetings, bookings, sales, revenue, and return on investment are examples; use measures meaningful to your organization.
Preserve What You Learned
Record questions visitors asked, messages that worked, staffing or layout problems, and improvements to carry into the next show.
